After a dominant performance at home to cross keys the week before, Trebanos started Saturday afternoon against their local rivals having already secured a place in the final at the millennium stadium. With the opposition still chasing a place in the final along side us, it promised to be a cracker. 
 

And it sure didn't disappoint! After only 5 minutes , Ystalyera were first to cross the try line after some fine hands through the back line. Trebanos however were quick to strike back, with a fine score of their own. After winning a penalty on halfway, a successful catch and drive line out was set up , and got moving. As the maul moved in field, Trebanos broke down the blind side and Sam Davies got over in the corner to make the score 5-7. And it wasn't long after that Trebanos got their second, with the continued high pressing defensive line, Matthew Edwards shot at an interception opportunity to run 80 metres for the score, he went on to convert to make the score 12-7. 
 

With Trebanos now seeing a lot more of the ball, they begun to put some fine plays together and put the visitors under pressure throughout the first half, however it was only to be the one more penalty kick for Edwards, as the home side went in 15-7 in the lead at the half time. 

The 2nd have saw the game open up far more, with Ystalyfera's back line showing the pace they had, creating some dangerous opportunity's. But as they've shown throughout the season, Trebanos's defensive effort olwas once again at its best, winning penalties at ruck time, allowing Edwards another shot at goal, extending the lead to 18-7. They indeed kept holding out right until the final play of the game, where the dangerous Ystalyfera 15 Bowdy Davies crossed for his 2nd of the match. 
 

A local derby that had it all for sure. Superb commitment again from this young Trebanos side, as they now gear up for two weeks of preparation for the millennium stadium.
