Everyone at Trebanos RFC wishes Rhys “Twm” Thomas all the best after his long and incredibly impressive career with Trebanos RFC.
The word Legend is banded around far too frequently these days, but in Twm’s case there is no more apt adjective to describe his contribution to Trebanos RFC.
Rhys began his career in the Junior Section of the club, playing through the age grades before progressing to the Youth Team. Obviously during his fledgling rugby career he was supported all the way by his parents Ceri and Chris!
(Not sure if his Team won anything in the junior section?) Whilst playing for the Youth, Twm played in a very successful Youth Team, which won the Division B League Title and winning the Neath and District Cup, beating a Glynneath in Seven Sisters a Team which included a certain Tavis Knoyle.
That Youth Team were undoubtedly the foundation of our recent successes. 
Twm began his senior career in the season 2009/2010.
This is a brief summary of his senior career,
327 Appearances.
9 Consecutive years as Club Captain
2 League Titles.
5 Promotions from Division 5 through to the WRU Championship.
West Wales Cup Champions
A 3rd Place finish in our first year in the Championship.
2 Principality Cup finals, one win and one loss. 
Not only has Twm been an outstanding player for Trebanos RFC during that period, but he has also been a tremendous ambassador for the club! Referees would always praise him as he was very courteous and polite on the field of play. One referee commented that it was an absolute pleasure refereeing a game when Rhys was the Captain!
Rhys has been an absolutely amazing Player and Captain for Trebanos RFC throughout his career and will be solely missed by all at Trebanos RFC!
Rhys is a Trebanos Legend and we are all immensely proud that he has been associated to the club for such a length of time!
Ceri and Chris and all members of the family must so proud of all his achievements during his career! I’m sure he would be the first to say, it would not have been possible without the support of his family.
